Two Cultures. One Vision. – How Biometric Identification Entered Moldova’s B2B Agenda
Around 50 directors and specialists from banking, fintech, telecommunications and the public sector gathered on May 19, 2026 at Capitoles Park in Chisinau for an event that looked nothing like a sales pitch. That was, in all likelihood, the best strategic decision behind it.
The Format That Changed the Dynamic
DAAC digital and Uzinfocom chose to launch MyID Vision on the Moldovan market through a Business Dinner with a blind wine tasting – Moldovan versus Uzbek. Before anyone heard a single slide about biometrics, attendees went through three tasting rounds guided by a sommelier, with no knowledge of the wine’s origin. The metaphor was clear: two different cultures, one quality standard.
The format addressed a problem many B2B events ignore – how to make a busy decision-maker genuinely present, not just physically in the room. The answer that evening was straightforward: before talking about the product, create a shared moment.
MyID Vision – The Numbers That Matter
Timur Miyassarov, Director of International Business Development at Uzinfocom, presented the MyID Vision platform – an enterprise facial biometric identification solution built on AI and already operating at industrial scale: 22 million users in the biometric database, 270 million identifications processed, 11.5 million verifications per month and over 400 organizations using the platform to automate KYC processes.
Clients include 78 banks, 89 payment systems, 17 mobile operators and 23 government sectors. Uzinfocom operates in 8 countries including Moldova, with 10 offices and 23 years of experience in IT project implementation.
The technical architecture covers three core components: Liveness Detection – protection against fraud attempts using photos or video, Face Recognition for 1:N identification across an unlimited number of faces, and Face Comparison for identity verification through two-image matching. Integration is available via REST API, Mobile SDK, Web SDK or Server SDK, with an average implementation time of one week.
The Context That Adds Weight
The fraud data presented during the event left little room for interpretation: €2.2 billion in global losses from P2P transactions, SIM Swap attacks up 704%, and in 2025 alone, MyID Vision blacklisted 509,000 fraudulent identification attempts. Artificial intelligence, the presentation noted, did not create new threats – it amplified existing ones. And AI is precisely what can counter them at scale.
The Offer for the Moldovan Market
Attendees received a concrete commercial proposal exclusive to the evening: the first 3 partners to sign receive Founding Partner status, with 50% off for the first 3 months and 3 months of platform fee waived. The next 7 receive Early Partner status with 30% off under the same conditions. Both tiers include accelerated onboarding, high-priority support, SDK customization and a dedicated account manager.
What the Evening Demonstrated
DAAC digital took a calculated risk with this format – an event that looks nothing like a standard product launch. The result was an attentive room, genuine Q&A exchanges and networking that continued over dinner long after the presentation screen went dark.
Moldova is not a large market for enterprise biometric solutions. But it has banks with KYC/AML compliance obligations, telecom operators with digital onboarding processes and public institutions digitalizing their services. MyID Vision, distributed through DAAC digital, enters a market with genuine demand and no established local competition.
The conversation about remote biometric identification started on May 19 in Chisinau. How many of the nearly 50 attendees become the first to implement it remains to be seen.
