How do you build a data infrastructure that manages itself, supports artificial intelligence projects and recovers quickly from a cyberattack? Around this question, on October 15, 2026, DAAC digital brought together more than 50 IT leaders and specialists from banks, companies and public institutions, its clients and partners, at Château Cojușna.
Evenimentul „Data Infrastructure: AI-driven, Automated, Truly Resilient” a fost organizat de DAAC digital împreună cu Dell Technologies și Commvault. In the opening address, DAAC digital, as host, thanked participants for the time given to an event that matters to the company, held for several years in a row with the same goal: to be useful and informative for everyone in the room. The day was also designed as a meeting point: participants could talk directly with each other, with the DAAC digital team and with Dell Technologies and Commvault representatives about their projects and requirements, to find useful solutions together or, at the very least, good advice.
Dell Technologies: automation and AI in production
The first part of the day belonged to Dell Technologies. Iryna Bernatska presented Dell Automation Platform, which centralizes infrastructure orchestration and management. The same platform can manage Dell Private Cloud without software vendor lock-in, Dell AI solutions and Dell NativeEdge for distributed sites. The core idea: automation takes over routine operations, giving IT teams time to innovate.
Alexandru Lungu spoke about the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA and the new generation of Dell PowerEdge servers. The starting point was the three obstacles slowing AI adoption: complexity, risk and cost. Dell’s answer is a validated combination of infrastructure, software and services, sized to each organization’s needs, that takes AI from experiment to production. The presentation included implementation examples from Europe in engineering, healthcare and cancer research.
The session on Dell PowerStore Gen 3 storage was combined with a topic beyond the agenda: AI Supercomputer Control Plane, the management architecture for large-scale GPU clusters. The Dell part closed with a Q&A session.
Commvault: resilience starts with identity
After lunch, the discussion shifted to what happens when an attack succeeds. Sergiu Costin, Commvault, started from a change in tactics: attackers no longer break into systems, they log in with valid credentials. Identity (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID or Okta) has become the main target, and when it fails, applications and business processes stop. The Commvault Identity Resilience platform proposes three steps: detecting risks early, protecting at scale and recovering to a trusted state.
Hubert Kubica, Commvault, continued with recovery from cyber threats. Backup and restore are changing: beyond regular recovery and disaster recovery, organizations need fast, clean recovery after an attack. The presentation also explained the cleanroom concept: an isolated, secure environment where an organization can rebuild its systems without the risk of reinfection.
Three layers, one infrastructure
Together, the sessions shaped the idea captured in the event’s own title: data infrastructure must be automated, AI-ready and able to recover cleanly from an attack. Dell Technologies covered automation and AI, Commvault covered resilience, and the partnership with DAAC digital, a Dell Technologies Platinum Partner, brings them together for organizations in Moldova.
Conversations continued during breaks, at lunch and in the networking part, with a tour of the Château Cojușna wine cellars.
