Companies in Moldova often keep their development plans secret until the last minute. For robotics, we choose another path. We will be open and transparent from the beginning.
Together with Sergiu Ciumac, Alexei Bătrîncea and Ruslan Chistol we will develop robotics within DAAC digital, i.e. from the start for Moldova, Romania and Uzbekistan.
Musk: Robots to be bigger business than Tesla cars
It’s a long way to go, but it’s an industry with up to 30% year-on-year growth in new installations for industrial robots, as well as service robots (see what Tesla, Boston Dynamics (Atlas), Xiaomi are doing).
Why do we think we will succeed?
- We have the technical expertise in complex mechatronics based ATM servicing. From what we’ve seen at Automatica, Recycler ATMs are more complex than most robots.
- We are among the market leaders in MD, RO, UZ.
- We know how to bring and integrate new solutions.
We are going down two parallel paths:
The classical method
We will soon make public the vendors we will represent in the market: manufacturers and integrators with expertise in different fields. We choose only those with turnkey solutions. We will participate jointly with them in the first launches until we get the necessary experience. We will also provide support.
Accumulation of own expertise
In robotics there are many standardised hardware and software components: motors, sensors, cameras, programming, simulation and integration software. Imagine a game where we step by step open up new technologies.
Last week we started:
Basic Robotics: Introduces the fundamental concepts of robotics, including robot components, kinematics, and sensors.
Manual Control: Enables manual control of robots using joysticks or keyboard input.
There are basic moments. I bought simple components for a Proof of Concept on the inside. We will keep you informed.
We consider this post as the public start of the new direction. We promise to be open and give regular updates.
