July 11, 2025 – DAAC digital held a webinar dedicated to solutions Cisco Meraki. During the webinar the capabilities of the cloud-managed platform were illustrated live in front of IT professionals from Moldova. The event was moderated by our colleague Mihail Ilașciuc, Computer & IT Sales Manager, and the technical presentation was supported by Tavi Băcală, Senior Presales Engineer and Cisco Meraki consultant.
Over 45 minutes, we demonstrated how a complete network – wireless, switching, security, cameras and sensors – can be managed from a single web dashboard, with no CLI configuration and no on-site travel. Tavi opened up the real dashboard at Cisco Meraki’s San Francisco office and showed, step-by-step, how hundreds of devices spread across multiple countries are seen in real time: Wi-Fi 6E access points, PoE-enabled switches, MX gateways with firewall and SD-WAN, 4K cameras and IoT sensors. With just a few clicks, it throttled bandwidth for video traffic, programmed PoE ports to shut down at night, and created a site-to-site VPN tunnel in less than a minute.
Participants also watched how the platform automatically identifies the causes of slowdowns: if a SaaS application crashes, Meraki Dashboard immediately indicates where the problem is – in the network, on the public internet or at the service provider. For the video surveillance side, MV cameras showed motion detection and search by object color without a dedicated NVR, and MV sensors sent alarms when temperature and humidity exceeded preset thresholds.
After the technical demonstration, we answered questions about licensing, compatibility with non-Meraki equipment, and video storage options. I emphasized that any organization can start with a small number of devices and scale quickly, as the license includes firmware upgrades, support, and ongoing dashboard access. In addition, we announced the availability of free pilots for the first ten interested companies, so that participants can test the solution in their own environment without upfront investment.
The webinar ended with an interactive quiz and the top three winners received prizes provided by DAAC digital. More than 60 IT specialists connected live and the full recording is already available on our channel YouTube channel. We are pleased with the positive feedback: more than 80% of the respondents appreciated the clarity of the demonstration and mentioned that they will evaluate Meraki for future network modernization projects.
